I am a independent, certified home inspector - not a large company or a franchise. Unlike other home inspection services, some of which exclude parts of buildings (such as roofs), my inspections are comprehensive visual evaluations of all major systems and components listed in the CREIA Standards of Practice including roof, foundation, structural components, plumbing, electrical, heating & cooling systems and much more. Clear, easy-to-understand reports

Written in plain language that anyone can understand, my inspection reports emphasize clarity as well as detail. Reports include digital photographs and are usually available the day of the inspection. Plus, I offer customized maintenance tips with each report to help you protect your investment. I have spent years developing my own library of comments. (Most inspectors buy pre-canned generic libraries or, worse yet, use check sheets). I believe that you will not find a better organized, easier to read and understand report anywhere. (See sample report.)

Reliable, experienced inspector

I am certified by the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA) and have 21 years combined construction and inspection experience including over 1,300 home inspections. Why CREIA? I chose CREIA for their high standards. They remain one of the most difficult associations to gain membership into and have set the bar for inspection standards for over 30 years. CREIA certifies only home inspectors who can pass the organization's strict entrance exam and meet its yearly continuing education requirements (the highest in the industry). Furthermore, CREIA members are required to follow the organization's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. CREIA's Standards of Practice have been recognized by the State of California and are considered to be the source in establishing Home Inspector Care by the real estate and legal communities.

I do home inspections anywhere in Sonoma and Marin counties. I frequently work in Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Healdsburg, Windsor, Cotati, Rohnert Park, Petaluma, Sonoma, Sebastopol, Novato, San Rafael, and other locations.
